Norma Lea Baumgartner, 76 of Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at St. Michael’s Health & Rehabilitation Center in Virginia after a brief battle with cancer.

Norma was born April 30, 1937 at the Virginia Municipal Hospital to Rex Turner “RT” and Bessie (Tibbetts) Wingo. When she was seven, Norma was baptized at First Baptist Church in Virginia. At 15, she was introduced to the love of her life, Roger Lee Baumgartner, while she was roller-skating with friends in Eveleth. She graduated from Virginia High School, and on June 18, 1955 married Roger at First Baptist Church. Norma and Roger were blessed with six children, which she considered one of her greatest accomplishments. While Roger worked to provide for their family, Norma raised the children at home. Later in life, Norma worked at McDonald’s in Virginia, where she blessed many with her sense of humor and quick wit.
