Norbert Ignaszewski, 75, of Stephen, MN, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2011 at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN.
Norbert was born October 12, 1935 in Stephen, the son of Andrew and Frances (Kulla) Ignaszewski. He served in the US Army from 1958 – 1960. On June 13, 1964, Norbert married Karen Kathman. They made their home in Stephen. He worked for American Crystal Sugar and McGlynn Farms. Karen died on March 28, 2008.
Norbert was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and Stephen American Legion.
He enjoyed socializing with friends, camping and driving.
Left to mourn his passing are four children, Darlene Ignaszewski of Chicago, IL; Brenda Johnson of Crookston, MN and children, Lindsey, Jared and Tanner; Kenneth (Joanne) Ignaszewski of Warroad, MN and children, Matthew, Krystal and Travis and Jason (Joleen) Ignaszewski of Fargo, ND and child, Sarah and great-grandson, Hudson; three sisters, Helen (Edmund) Pietruszewski of Stephen, MN, Angie (Steve) Adamski of Florian and Loretta (Al) Goblirsch of Elk River, MN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen and three brothers, Edward, John and Tony.
