Age 88, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 13, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen Irene (Fedewa) Lawless, and an infant daughter, Kay. He was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Anna Lawless, siblings Annita (Ross) Scholtens, Eleanor (Harvey) Brown and a brother-in-law, Richard Wernette. He is survived by his sister, Jean Wernette; children Terrence (Vicki) Lawless, Barbara (Darrell) Mitchell, Brian (Patty) Lawless, and Beth (William) Emelander; grandchildren Ryan Lawless, Nick Lawless, Mandy (Lawless) and Ryan Johnston, Kevin Mitchell, Nhu Do, Scott and Tracey Mitchell, Jeff Mitchell, Cassidy and Cole Lawless, Eric and Tracie Stroh and Betsy and Brook Emelander; great grandchildren Logan, Lileigh, Evelyn, Garry, Cierra and Carissa. Dad and grandpa will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for his wonderful Irish sense of humor and wit along with his generosity to all who knew him. He was a wonderful storyteller who could sit and tell stories for hours. Perry was a lifelong farmer and a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was member of St. Patrick Church and St. Stephen’s Church in Lake City. He was an avid reader, hunter, fisherman, bowler, and loved playing cards and board games. He had the biggest of hearts, and as they say: “A heart is not judged by how much it loves, but how much it is loved by others.
