Nelda Marie Pyatt, 83, of Steelville, Missouri passed away December 5, 2007 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri. She was born October 6, 1924 in Redbud, Illinois, the daughter of William and Mamie (Brandt) Mennerich. On October 23, 1948, she was married to Leroy Pyatt who preceded her in death on March 26, 1989.
She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Connie Carbaugh and husband Daniel and Kim Moses all of Steelville, Missouri; one son-in-law, Jim Reiger; eleven grandchildren, Danny Carbaugh, Candi Koenig, Scott Koenig, Brandi Atkins, Jesse Moritz, Brian Moritz, Lorene Frey, Katrina Pyatt, Brittany, Brandon and Alex Moses; ten great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Her parents, her husband, one daughter, Debbie Reiger, one sister, Hilda Liefer and one son in-law Gary Moses preceded her in death.
Nelda worked many years in St. Louis at the Martiz Travel Agency. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers and bells. Only a few years ago did she give up her hobby. Up until her health permitted, Nelda loved embroidery, reading and crossword puzzles.
