Neil Harvey Koch, 70, of Hermann, passed away on February 29, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Koch was born in Hermann, Missouri on April 16, 1941, the son of the late Harvey L. and Selma C. Koch.
He was the husband of Alverna “Vernie” (Rupp) Koch. They were united in marriage on September 7, 1963 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann. She survives in Hermann.
Neil is also survived by two daughters, Jane Duncan & husband Mark of Columbia, Missouri and Amy Monachino & husband Ted of Clarksville, Maryland, a sister Darlene Faerber of Hermann, a brother Norbert Koch & wife Jenny of Springdale, Arkansas, his mother-in-law Ada Heinlein of Hermann, a brother-in-law Wayne Rupp of Hermann and seven grandchildren, Mikalee, Sam & Michael Monachino, Laurie Frew and Hannah, Coline and Sam Duncan. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Neil worked for Siegel/Roberts as a quality control manager until his retirement in 2008. He also owned & operated Hermann Lanes in the 1970’s. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Hermann and served as city council aldermann from 1976-1978.
