Obituary for Nannie Bertha (Pike) Mahoney

Nannie B. (Nan) Mahoney, of Bath, Maine, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2017 following a long illness. She was 66.

 

Nan was born in Rochester, N.H. April 17, 1950, one of nine children born to James and Katherine Pike. Nan made her home in Maine after settling there in 1975. A longtime Bath resident, she spent her life working to make life easier for others, to include time spent as a paint brush maker at the Grumbacher Brush Factory in the Fort Andross Building; a jewelry consultant at Ames Dept. Store in Brunswick; and later in life as a personal care assistant for handicapped children. She was a lover of Bingo, crafting, cooking and all things elephants.

 

She is predeceased by her mother and father and her beloved son Stephen V. Mahoney.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Christine and Anthony Falvo of Stuttgart, Germany; her daughter Cindie Lyons and fiancée Tedd Lyons of Brunswick, Maine; grandchildren Andrew Dolan of Wisscasset, Maine; Courtney Lyles of Virginia Beach, Va.; Daniel Miles of Herkimer, N.Y.; Mathew Mullins of Georgetown, Maine; Stephanie Jones of Woolwich, Maine; Aaron Jones of Brunswick, Maine; and Gabrielle Falvo of Stuttgart, Germany; great-grandchildren Mackenzie Lyles, Stephen Miles, Damien Mullins and Audrey Miles; along with many nieces and nephews. Nan also had many close friends and ones she held dear, to include Bob and Pearlette Kellett of Bamford, Maine.

 

May she rest easily in the arms of the Lord as she is at long last reunited with her son.
