Nancy G. Tinnel, 84, of Fortville, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born November 19, 1929 in Tompkinsville, KY to the late Vester and Ray (Goad) Curtis. She was a teller for Bank One for 17 years, retiring in 1995. She was salutatorian and treasure for the Tompkinsville, KY High School class of 1949 and a member of the Fortville United Methodist Church, enjoyed playing bridge, quilting and taking trips with her niece Nancy Ann Monday.
Nancy is survived by sons: Michael (Sally) Tinnel of Fortville; Brian (Lynette) Tinnel of North Bridge, MA; and Danny (Allison) Tinnel of Hardeeville, SC; grandchildren: Darren, Matthew, Caroline, Dana and Tyler Tinnel, Luke and Matthew Amrine; Matt Ellis and Libby Oestreich; 8 great-grandchildren: Madison, Alex, Riley and Ezri Tinnel; Keagan and Braylon Amrine; Grant Ellis and Kyle Oestreich Brother: Jesse (Georgia) Curtis of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Clarence, Tommy “J.V.” and Clyde and sister Annie Botts.
