Myrtle E. Richards, age 90 passed away at her residence in Roseau on Saturday, August 26, 2006.
Myrtle Richards, the daughter of May (Sutton) and William Roush was born on November 20, 1915 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Just a few days after her birth, her family came back to Warroad, MN where Myrtle lived most of her life. She attended school through the eighth grade at district 78 south of Warroad.
Myrtle worked at the Warroad Hospital as a cook for nearly 20 years. She then worked for Marvin Windows for 10 years until retiring when she was 62 years old. She lived in Roseau for the past 9 years at the North Star Apartments.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter Janice (Milan) Jirmasek of Salol, and one granddaughter Vickie (Conrad) Johnson of Remer, MN. She is preceded in death by her sister Doris Dowers, and her parents.
