Mylo LeRoy Hallie was born on April 11, 1924. He was raised in Clearbrook, MN, went to school there, and graduated in 1942. He moved to Roseau in 1943 and worked in the produce department of the creamery for one year. He then worked for Walter Bell in the bulk fuel business. Mylo owned his own bulk fuel business and was in the fuel business for 45 years, retiring in 1989.
On December 7 1946 Mylo married Clarice Beda Lisell. They lived in Roseau together ever since. Beda passed away in 2001.
Mylo enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going for drives. He played the harmonica and the accordion. He, his kids and grandkids enjoyed the outdoors very much.
