Murray Wright, 88, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Missouri.
Mr. Wright was born in Deer Creek, Missouri on July 17, 1923, the son of the late Jessie and Lillie (Howard) Wright.
He was the widower of LaVerne E. (Haid) Wright. They were married June 7, 1947. She passed away on January 10, 2006.
Murray proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, New Haven, Missouri, the New Haven American Legion and the V.F.W. in Washington.
He was a barber and owned Murray’s Barber Shop for many years.
Murray is survived by two grandsons Corey Grote & wife Monique of Washington and Tracy Grote of New Haven, two great grandchildren Macy & Lauren Grote, and two sisters-in-law Mildred Wright of Hermann and Charleen Haid of Berger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers Raymond & Jessie Wright and a daughter Rayverne Grote.
