Murad George Gurganian passed away July 9, 2016 in Detroit, Michigan. Born November 3, 1932 in Durand, Michigan, he was the son of Vahan and Adrian (Adelian) Gurganian. George received his education and graduated from the printing department of Cass Technical High School. George also attended Wayne State University to further his education. George served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was in the 3rd Armored Division as a photographer. Returning to civilian life, he worked briefly as a salesman in the business world before joining American General Insurance Company. After completing a successful career, he retired as the Sales Manager and was given a deep appreciation award from the Chairman and President – Chief Executive Officer, for his loyal service to the company. Returning to his printing expertise, George founded his own Pictorial Graphics Company. Being active in St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church he was elected as a member of the Board of Trustees.
