Our dearest sister in Christ, Mrs. Eddie Mae Brownlee, was called to her heavenly home on May 4, 2023, peacefully in her sleep. She was born on July 4, 1941, to Edward and Mattie Floyd, in Pontotoc Mississippi. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh/Halls Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where she remained a faithful member.

Mrs. Eddie Mae was united in marriage to Willie Brownlee. They remained together, faithfully for 52 years. In this union two children: one daughter and son were raised and loved. Her greatest joys and fulfillment in life was serving God and her family.

She was employed at Irwin B. Schwabe (Shirt Factory) for over forty years. Her hobbies included singing, studying the bible, and serving her community. Mrs. Eddie Mae served in numerous capacities. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and dedicated church member and leader. Through her years and service in Christ, she served as a teacher, missionary, usher, choir member, and faithful caregiver to her husband.

She was preceded in death by her father; Edward Floyd, and mother; Mattie Floyd, sister; Eria Hamilton, brother; Clody Floyd, son; William Floyd, brother; David Floyd, and brother; James Floyd.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband; Willie Brownlee, her daughter; Ruby Floyd Watkins, granddaughter; Alexis Watkins, grandson; Armonte Watkins, her siblings; Annie Floyd, Jessie Allen, Gloria Blake (Van), William Floyd (Cara) and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
