Mrs. Dorothy Fisher-Mitchell, 75, was born June 1, 1941 to the late Lacie and Jannie Fisher. She resided in Oxford, MS from birth until her home going to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2017.
Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age at Jeffrie Chapel and later joined East St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until she heard the Lord whisper in her ear to come on home. She served on the Hospitality Committee. She was employed at Whirlpool until she retired in 2000 after thirty years of dedication and hard work.
On January 16, 1961, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Preston Mitchell and to this union four children were born. As her life progressed, she was blessed with a special friend, the late William Edward Mathis of twenty-seven years.
