Daisy Ray Jenkins Erby was born to the late Rev. Arnette Jenkins and Effie Henry Jenkins on August 31, 1932.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Oak Grove M.B. Church, where she remained a member until her home going on July 8, 2017.
Mrs. Erby was employed with Brookwood Furniture company for thirty-two years. She was very independent with a great love for her family and friends. After retirement she had time to work at her true passion, her flower garden.
She was married to the late Rod Erby, to this union six children were born. Beyron Erby is her
oldest grandson, but he was like a son to her.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Dennis Erby (Linder) of Columbus, MS, Michael Erby (Tiffany), Tim Erby, Annie Erby, Doris Malone (Sonny), Joyce Clay Erby all of New Albany, MS, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters: Hazzie Jenkins Owens of Memphis, TN, Willie Mae Jenkins Scales of Racine, WI, Eula Jenkins Williams of Chicago, IL, Lillie Jenkins Starks, Linda Jenkins Taylor, and Hazel Diane Jenkins all of Racine, WI, brothers: Roy Jenkins and James Jenkins both of New Albany, MS, two sisters-in-law: Lavoria Erby Harris of Birmingham, AL and Dorothy Cosby Erby of Racine, WI, brother-in-law: John Judon of Ecru, MS, adopted daughters: Lowanda Wade (J.Q.) of New Albany, MS, Pearlie Mason of Houston, TX, Shirley Foster, Mildred Melvin, Gail Rutledge and Debbie Shands all of New Albany, MS, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
