He was born December 28, 1960 in Holly Springs, MS to the late Leroy Curry and Reva Malone Curry. Willie served in the Army. He was a graduate of Rust College and a member of Phi Beta Sigma and the U.S. Army National Guard. He attended Cummings Street Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn. He was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula.
