NEW ALBANY- Mr. Jimmy “The Rock” Jackson, 56, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born on July 3, 1961 in New Albany to Jimmy Floyd Ball and Genett Jackson Ball. He was the oldest of five sons. Jimmy professed his hope in Christ at an early age and joined Mallalieu United Methodist Church, where he once held the position of class leader. He graduated from W.P. Daniel High School in 1979, and was a member of the football team. After graduation Jimmy started working at Mohasco Furniture where he was employed for many years. After leaving Mohasco he went to work at Benchcraft, Brookwood Furniture and was currently employed with Fusion Furniture in Pontotoc, MS. He loved his family, hunting and was an avid gun collector, among other things in his life “ROCK” held a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Karate. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #171 in New Albany.
