ECRU- Mr. Harvey “Horse” Hilliard, 72, was born August 22, 1944 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi to the late Tommie and Ethel Hilliard. He departed this life Thursday, August 17, 2017 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He was educated in Ecru, MS and Racine, WI. Harvey was an avid sportsperson. He played basketball and softball and numerous other sports. He also was a member of several motor cycle clubs and also a member of the Mule Pulling Association. He retired from J. I. Case Company after 30 years of service. He was also a member of the local 180 UAW Union. After retirement he relocated to Ecru, MS, where he enjoyed farming. He reunited with St. Paul M.B. Church, serving as a Church Trustee until the time of his homegoing.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Kasey Hilliard, four daughters: Dawn Hilliard (Robert Lockridge) and Kimberly (Shedrick) Harris both of Racine, WI, DeAnna Fields of Milwaukee, WI, Amiyah McKnight of Ecru, MS, one brother: Javail Hilliard of Racine, WI, two sisters: Eddie Mae (Ocie) Peet of Racine, WI, and Savannah (Ervin) Windham of Heidelberg, MS, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by both parents: Tommie and Ethel Mae Hilliard, one brother: Raymond Hilliard and one sister: Jewel Sanford and one son: Corey Fields.
