Bath – Monique D. Beaulieu, 86, a resident of Hill House in Bath, formerly of Brunswick and Topsham, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Over the last several years she had suffered the devastating effects of Parkinson”s Disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Her family finds comfort knowing that she is now at peace.

She was born in Brunswick on September 22, 1926, the daughter of Hormidas and Alderie (Pascal) Dionne. She graduated from St. John”s School and attended Brunswick High School. After leaving high school, she entered cosmetology school to become a beautician. She continued in this profession until she retired in 1994.

On May 3, 1952, she married Bernard F. Beaulieu, formerly of Presque Isle, at St. John the Baptist Church in Brunswick. They made their home in Brunswick, where they raised their children, and later in Topsham. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was dedicated to her immediate and extended family as well as a circle of close friends. These relationships formed the core of her social circle and with them she shared many happy celebrations, holidays, and other joyful occasions. In difficult times it was from them that she received comfort and support.

Monique was an active member of St. John”s Parish, serving in the Sodality of Mary and the Altar Guild until her illness prevented her from participating in these activities.

She was predeceased by her husband Bernard, her parents, her brother Romeo, sister Georgette and brother-in-law Eudore “Bill” Belanger, and great grandson Wesley Peters.

Monique is survived by her children, Celeste Turner of Farmington and Blaine Beaulieu of Newport News, Virginia; her grandchildren, Caitlin Turner of Farmington, Bethany Turner of Brunswick, and Laura, Ryan, and Elisabeth Beaulieu of Newport News; her great-grandchildren, Elliot Peters of Brunswick, Naviyah Dodson, Jasmyn Beaulieu, Jaiden and Jamya Wright, all of Newport News, and many nieces and nephews.
