Mike Shain, age 90, lifelong resident of the Hibbing area died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in Guardian Angels Healthcare Center in Hibbing. He was born July 19, 1922, in Carson Lake the son of Pete and Francis (Klobucar) Shain. He attended Hibbing Schools. A veteran of the US Army, Mike served in the European Theatre during WWII.
Mike was a Member of St. Michael’s Serbian Orthodox Church. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for Jones & Laughlin.
Mike is survived by his sisters: Mary Workman of Hibbing, and Olga Fesnick of Buhl, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: John and Paul.
