MICHAEL TERRY MAINS
1968 – 2022
GRAY – Mike passed away peacefully on February 12th, while asleep at home, outliving his cancer for nearly four years.
He was born in Portland on January 18, 1968, son of Nancy and Terry Mains. Mike graduated in 1987 from Gray-New Gloucester
High School and earned his Associates Degree from SMTC. He worked at Bruns Brothers and Zajac, LLC in Gray.
Mike loved to hunt, fish, and be out in nature. He made many special memories at King & Bartlett with his wife, Crystal,
family and friends. A lifelong hunter, he proudly shot a buck this fall from his motorized all-terrain trac chair. A big shout out to those
who helped him bring it in, and who took him on his last moose hunt at K&B.
An avid “horticulture specialist”, Mike enjoyed nurturing many plant species from seedlings to maturity.
A socialite, Mike was a member of the Eagles Club and the Legion in Gray. All of his friends there will remember him when they hear Guns-n-Roses play. Have a dance for Mike. He also was known for texting all of his friends on football Sundays “Are you ready for some MF football?!”
Mike was pre-deceased by his father, Terry, and his sister-in-law Marci Mains. He is survived by his gorgeous wife Crystal, their dog Pesci, his daughter, Autumn, nephew Cooper, nieces Emma and Katie, sister Brenda, brother Jeff, and Mother Nancy.
From Crystal: I want to thank the many, many people who helped us during this past difficult year. Your trips to the doctors, the
dump, building the deck, and the ramp, thank you. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, I can’t thank you enough, and I love you all.
