MICHAEL L. WILDES (Mikey or Papa)
Mihcael L. Wildes passed away after a long illness on August 26, 2015. He was born in Portland, ME on March 3, 1951 to the late Maurice and Lenora (Bellefontaine) Wildes.
Mike graduated from Portland High School. He served in the US Navy on the USS Saratoga as an E2 for 3.5 years. He retired in January 2014 from the Maine Turnpike Authority after 25 years of service. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed camping with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Marcia (Cole) Wildes of 18 years, stepdaughter Melissa McCormick and husband Robert, stepson Brian Garnett and his fiancé Keisha Hanscome, 4 grandchildren Joshua and Jeremy McCormick, Colby Hanscome and Caylyn Marie Garnett, 3 brothers Maurice and friend Lori, Dan and Kay, Wayne and Helen, and 2 sisters Anita and Ed Geary and Sue Briggs and numerous nieces and nephews.
