Michael Joseph Prefek, the son of Mary (Horvath) and John Prefek was born on April 13, 1919 in Milwaukee, WI.
Mike attended school in Canada, and when he was 18 years old his family moved to a farm north of Roseau, MN. They farmed there until 1950 when they moved to Badger, MN. He lived there until the year 2000 when he moved to Eventide in Roseau due to his failing health. He moved into Sheltering Oaks Manor in 2002 where he lived until his passing.
