Valentine, Merrill ‘Val’ Jefferson age 85 of Livonia. Beloved husband of Elizabeth. Loving father of Sharon Murray, Bonnie Valentine-Baker, William (Patty), Cathy (Michael) Mains and the late Scott. Devoted stepfather of Kathleen (Bernard) Micallif, Patrick, Christopher (Sandy) and the late Michael Koontz. Proud grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 8. Aboard the USS Tennessee Val served his country in WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post 345 and American Legion Post 232. He was honored as a 50yr member of the Masonic Order last year. Val excelled at the work he loved as a masonry tradesman, also an outdoorsman and sportsman. He was an avid hunter, missing no hunting season from age 13 on. His kindness, humor and loving spirit will be missed.
