Melba W. Wisdom of St. James, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Heritage Nursing Home in Rolla, Missouri. She was 90 years, 1 month and 27 days of age.
Melba was born on June 17, 1918 to her parents George Washington and Cora Ann (Risz) Sellers. On December 25, 1936 she was united in marriage to Clarence M. Wisdom. To this union one child was born.
Melba was a hard worker all her life. She was a laborer in factory work for many years.
Melba is survived by one daughter: Doris “Jeanne” Fryer and husband Don of Ft. Worth, Texas; three grandsons: Kevin and wife LeAnn; Keith and wife Katie, and Kraig and wife Shelly Fryer; 7 great grandchildren; Steven, Krista, Brandon, Luke, Kyle, Lydia and Megan. One sister-in-law: Dot Sires of Winchester, Illinois; a host of nieces and nephews; and a dear friend; Mary Lou Pinkston of St. James, Missouri. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Preceding Melba in death is her husband: Clarence M. Wisdom; her parents: George Washington and Cora Ann (Risz) Sellers; eight brothers: David, Jim, Martin, Edwin, George, Roy, Cornelius, and Bernie Sellers; three sisters: Etta Mae Sewell, Lucy Hammock, and Liza Hughes; five infant brothers and sisters.
