MayBelle Nixon, age 90, of Hermann, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Frene Valley Health Center.
Mrs. Nixon was born in Elvira, Texas on May 1, 1922, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Minnie (Leach) Vincent.
She was the widow of Rudolph E. Nixon. They were married March 4, 1939 at Bland, MO.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hermann, Missouri. She worked at the Hermann Area District Hospital as a nurses aid for over 30 years.
MayBelle is survived by four daughters, Doris Happy of Columbia, Illinois, Marcella Huxel of Hermann, Diane Lionberger of Hermann and Brenda Todd & husband Bob of Hermann, two sisters Dolores Perkins of Belle, Missouri and Yvonne Ickenroth & husband Bob of O’Fallon, Missouri, by 11 grandchildren, Denise Byrd & husband Michael, Susan Lenger & husband Steve, Lisa Lauer & husband Kurt, Sheila Witthaus & husband David, Brian Huxel, Helen Davis, Tracy Simon & husband Chris, Sharyl Hakenewerth & husband David, Stephanie Cobb & friend Tim Gash, Stacy Mehrmann & husband Greg and Daniel Lionberger, by 22 great grandchildren, Jason Byrd, Jaime Ritzel & husband Matthew, Jonathan Witthaus & wife Ronna, Kristin & Paige Witthaus, Austin & Dylan Simon, Emily DuBois & husband Eric, Morgan Hakenewerth, Nathan Davis & wife Rachel, Kyle, Justin, Gerry and DeAnn Davis, Madalynn Lenger, Samantha, Russell & Cody Cobb, Kasi & Kelli Lauer and Madison & Emma Mehrmann and by nine great-great grandchildren, Alyssa, Brenna and Ciarra Lauer, MayBelle, Everett & Henry Ritzel, Cooper Davis, Braiden DuBois and Makenna Witthaus, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons-in-law David Huxel, Calvin Lionberger and Roger Happy and six brothers Melvin, Jack, Billy, Raymond, Troy and Delmar and a sister Opal Nixon and one great granddaughter Jenna Lenger.
