Age 90, loving mother, and grandmother, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2008. She was born on July 31, 1918 in Ionia the daughter of Lawrence and Lottie (Wiles) Ries. Mrs. Sprank graduated from Ionia High School and married Harold Sprank on August 14, 1937. She worked for 22 years for Reynolds IGA in Muir and also for Fred’s Supermarket in Ionia until her retirement. She was a 50 year member and Pianist for the First Christian Church of Muir. She truley enjoyed looking after her friends and neighbors, crocheting, cooking and baking. She currently resided at the Laurels of Carson City and has been there since April of 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold Sprank on May 10, 2001; 2 brothers, Hubert and Gordon; grandson Christopher Sprank. Surviving are her 4 sons, Gary (Kathy) Sprank and Larry Sprank, both of Burnsville, NC, Terry (Marian) Sprank of Stanton and Wendell (Evelyn) Sprank of Illinois; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Hanline.
