Age 89, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016. She was born on July 8, 1926 in Charlevoix, the daughter of Thomas and Myrtle Allen. Maxine was a home maker on the family farm, enjoyed flower gardens, sewing, fishing and camping all over the country. She loved her family especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Riley “Bud” Sandborn, Jr. in 2008; parents; brother, Thomas (Joann) Allen; great grandson, Ethan Hedlund; stepfather, Dell Griffin. Surviving are her children Julie Reynolds, Marcia Johnson, Vicky (William) Hedlund, Suzan (Daniel) Valdez, Katherine Benjamin, LaVern (Rosemary) Sandborn and Thomas (Dena) Sandborn; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.
