Mrs. Carmichael, 95, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Northpointe Rehabilitation Center.
Mavis was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was active with the adult and children’s choir, and humbly served her church in any way needed. She will be remembered most for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Fredie Videt Carmichael (Donna); grandchildren, Kaycee Crane (Charles), Fredie Videt Carmichael Jr. (Susan), Mignon Edmonds (Ken), William Dale Carmichael II, Beverly Knight, and Summer Ward; many great grandchildren; niece, Libby Snell (Tommy); and nephew, Mike Scott (Margie).
She is preceded in death by her husband, W.F. “Stub” Carmichael; son, William Dale Carmichael; parents, Estelle and Eunice Suttle; sisters, Mary Agnes Dearman and Nondas Scott; and special cousin, Opal Mayfield.
The family would like to give a special thanks to nurses and staff at North Pointe Health and Rehab for their loving concern and exceptional care for Mother these last few years.
