Maureen E. Wentworth, 83 of North Yarmouth, died Monday February 8, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Portland, she was a daughter of Earl L. and Mavis Opal Fickett Merrill. She attended Portland Schools and graduated from Deering High School.
At all times, Maureen put her family first. She was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking and quilting. She also worked at Yarmouth Hannaford and Anderson Farm. She was a longtime 4H leader.
Maureen was predeceased by her husband of 56 years Charles G. Wentworth, Jr. and her son Jeffrey Wentworth in June 2015.
She is survived by her children, Denise Swinford of North Yarmouth, Penny Parker and her husband Tom of New Gloucester, Jean Russell of North Yarmouth and Kerry Wentworth of Gray.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
