Obituary
Matilda “Tillie” Blomberg passed away on June 17, 2017 at the age of 90. She was born on September 27,1926, St. Elizabeth, MO, the last of three children of the late John and Catherine Blomberg., and late sister Katherine Hughes. Tillie is survived by her brother John (Laura) Blomberg of Albuquerque, NM; Nephews and Nieces, Gene (Ina) Hughes, Douglas (Veronique) Blomberg, Dennis (Cheryl) Blomberg and Janet Wagoner. Along with many great nieces and great nephews. Her 55-year employment at General Electric’s Lamp Plant provided her with the lifelong enjoyment of friends and a retirement of travel shared with her companion Della Brake, who preceded her in death this year. Tillie’s 55 years at the same G.E. plant brought her well wishes and congrats from Senators, Representatives, Mayors, Governor, and local TV personalities. The care and loving kindness of The Sarah Community Skilled Nursing facility gave her much comfort in her final years.
