Mary Theresa Trierweiler, of Westphalia, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on December 12, 2022. She was born in Lansing on June 28, 1932, the daughter of William M. and Anna S. (Theis) Schmitt. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1951. Mary spent over 30 years working for the Accident Fund, where she was fondly known as “Mary T”. Over the years she enjoyed many casino bus trips, traveling, crocheting, playing cards, or really any occasion to spend time with her beloved family and friends. Mary was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. On August 6, 1960, she married her sweetheart, Ronald Trierweiler, and they spent 61 wonderful years together before his passing on September 29, 2021.
Preceding Mary in death are her parents; husband, Ron Trierweiler; sister, Dorothy (Alvin) Schneider; brother, John (Mary) Schmitt; and brothers-in-law, Hilary Feldpausch and Jerome Fox; Trierweiler in-laws, Donna (Orville) Martin, Ann Waldron, Harold (Vicki) Trierweiler and Tom (Kathy) Trierweiler. Surviving are her children, Doug Trierweiler, Sheila (Chris) Paseka, and Sheri (Pete) Platte; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Harold (Mary Lou) Schmitt, Anna Feldpausch, and Martha (Ted) Williams; sisters-in-law, Prima Trierweiler and Diane (Harv) Burgoyne; and many nieces and nephews.
