Portland – Mary Rose (Sesto) Ferrucci, 91, of Portland, passed away on March 22, 2015 at Mercy Hospital. She was born on March 26, 1923 in Biddeford, a daughter of Thomas and Maria (Poli) Sesto. She grew up in Portland, graduating from Portland High School in 1941. She married Santino Ferrucci in 1947 and together they raised two children.
Mary worked many jobs throughout her life. Her career started as a bookkeeper for Speirs. She held various retail positions and ended her working years at the age of 80 with the City of Portland School system. She was a member of St. Peter’s Sodality and the Daughters of Isabella. Mary’s work also extended to a lifelong commitment to volunteerism.
