Mary St. Germain, 56, beloved longtime resident of Argyle, MN, died on Sunday, November 27, 2022, due to complications from a fall in her home at Woodside Village, Grand Forks, ND.

Mary Marie was born on February 20, 1966, to Aime and Elaine (Dufault) St. Germain. The youngest of seven children, Mary grew up on the farm and was the joy of her family. She began attending the DAC in Warren as soon as she was out of diapers, and became one of a car-full of children Elaine brought to town every day. She began schooling in Warren and graduated from one of the first special needs classes in Argyle in 1987.

Following graduation, Mary lived on her own and enjoyed the spice of life; namely getting herself into mischief of her own making and having a good time with friends. She later lived in the Marshall Co. Group Home and in a group home in East Grand Forks. She was front-and-center in any activity she did. Mary was known for her hugs: she loved making other people feel good and wanted to take care of anyone with whom she crossed paths.

Mary was “herself” in everything she did. Joy, Love, and a little bit of Trouble always followed in her wake, but that’s what made her so lovable. There is a Mary-sized hole in the hearts of all who loved her, but she is now reunited with her parents and on to bigger things.

She is survived by her siblings, Carol Larson and Linda Kuznia both of Stephen, MN, Edward (Judy) St. Germain and Joel (Renae) St. Germain both of Argyle, and Susan Neegard of East Grand Forks, MN; eighteen nieces and nephews; many great-nieces-and-nephews; and too many friends to count- all of whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Jay.
