She retired from Amway Corporation in 1981. She married Claude Jourdan on June 6, 1939 and he preceded her in death on June 13, 1976. She then married Clifford Gibbard on November 15, 1981. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1990. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Clyde and Bruce Jourdan and one daughter, Claudia Suminski and 3 grandchildren; 5 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are 3 sons, Ralph (Sharon) Jourdan of Lowell, Philip (Ruth) Jourdan of Alma, and Richard Jourdan of Grand Rapids; 2 daughters, Charlotte (Peter) Carney of Saranac, and Natalie (Clifford) Graham of Ionia; Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Paul (Doris) Gibbs of Grand Rapids and David (Joyce) Gibbs of Grand Rapids; 3 sisters, Medell Wheat of Grand Rapids, Jane Mockerman of Grand Rapids, and Sybil (Arthur) Burrows of Big Rapids; many nieces and nephews.
