Mark John Sivatko age 65, loving husband & father passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after a 15-month battle with cancer on March 22, 2023, at 1:08 a.m.

Born January 29,1958 in Scranton, PA, his family moved to Maryland when he was 9 and he has spent the last 32 years in West Friendship. He had a 40-year career in printing, after which he opened an all-natural Vape Shop, retiring in 2021.

Mark was a quiet family man, was wicked smart, honest and humble with a dry sense of humor and sometimes adding in a little sarcasm. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed road biking, mountain biking, geo-caching and was an expert marksman. He had very eclectic interests; he was a dedicated weightlifter and martial arts enthusiast, a lifelong reader and self-taught computer geek. He was an animal lover who enjoyed volunteering at the dog rescue center, adopting shelter dogs, and had a menagerie of critters during his lifetime from tadpoles to fish, birds, cats, geckos, and a tarantula named Tyrone. He loved motorcycles and was not just a fair-weather rider, it was his only mode of transportation for several years. He googled everything he was interested in, trying his hand at many things, he even roasted his own coffee beans to get the perfect cup. He was a man of many talents.

Mark is survived by his wife Darlene, his son Paul (Nicole) and his daughter Lauren. Mark’s sisters, Lynn (Ronnie) Hutchison, Sue (Steve) Fridell and stepsister Susan J. (Mike) Grisby – including lots of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Sivatko and Mary Alice “Chickie” Cabo.
