Marjorie Nathalie (Colwell) Martin, 94, of Waldoboro, died Easter morning, April 20, 2014 at Windward Gardens in Camden. She was born January 19, 1920 in Hancock, Maine, a daughter of the late Allison and Lydia (Shaw) Colwell. She graduated from Waldoboro High School a member of the class of 1938. On May 22, 1939, she married Louis L. Martin. Mrs. Martin was a life member of Lakeview Chapter No. 179 Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Waldoboro Senior Citizens, Lady’s Shrine Club and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Waldoboro. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband who died in 2004; three sisters, Beatrice Cowley, Lucille Dimock and Allison Willey; and a brother, Warren Colwell. Mrs. Martin is survived by: three daughters, Suzanne Young and her husband Phillip of Cushing, Lynette Lawson and her husband Buddy of Waldoboro and Martha Hodgdon and her husband Ken of Florida; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
