Marjorie E. Giorgi, 77, longtime resident of Mt. Iron, died Friday, December 30, 2016, at St. Michael’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in Virginia. She was born July 28, 1939 in Coleraine, MN, the daughter of Theodore and Agnes (Olin) Haverkost. Marge was united in marriage to the great love of her life, James R. Giorgi, on May 2, 1959, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Marge worked as a homemaker, pouring her boundless energy and intense love into raising 4 children, as well as babysitting neighborhood children, quickly making them a part of her extended family. Building and caring for her family was her pride and joy.
