Mrs. Smudde was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council #944, a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, and was the manager of the Ionia Theater for many years. Marjorie graduated from Resurrection High School in Lansing in 1946, and she loved reading, dancing and crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joseph S. Nemeth, Sr. and Stanley F. Smudde; daughter, Teresa A. (Nemeth) Snell. Surviving are her sons, Joseph (Jennifer) Nemeth, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Jeffrey (Donna) Nemeth of Fair Oaks, CA, and John (Jennifer) Nemeth of Canton, MI; daughters, Barbara (James) Mulnix of Ionia, MI and Dorothy (John) Darling of Holland, MI; son-in-law, David Snell of Stanton, MI; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (Joe) Davis, Irene Peuhler, and Joyce (Vince) Frey, all of Arizona; brother, Wayne (Ellie) Flood of Mason, MI; several nieces and nephews.
