Marion L. Parenteau of Denton, MD, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving sons and grandchildren. She was 90 years old.

Born in Manchester, NH on February 26, 1926, Mrs. Parenteau was the daughter of the late Ralph E. Hall and Mildred Louise Carpenter Hall. Her step mother was the late Ethel Rose “Grammie Rosie” Hall. She married her husband, the late Wilfred A. Parenteau, on June 5th, 1948. He died on April 26, 2014.

A wonderful mother and a dedicated nurse, Mrs. Parenteau had graduated from the Notre Dame Nursing School in Manchester, NH. She and her family moved to Denton in 1958. She was a nurse at Easton Memorial Hospital and then was the nurse for Dr. Philip Felipe in Denton for thirty years. Then she worked at the Caroline Nursing Home until she retired. She was also an active member of the St. Elizabeth’s/St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church in Denton and Ridgely.

Mrs. Parenteau is survived by three sons: Richard A. Parenteau (wife, Susan) of Denton, Jeffrey D. Parenteau of Denton, and Thomas D. Parenteau of Denton; three daughter-in-laws, Linda Parenteau, Pamela Parenteau, and Bernice Parenteau; one brother, Donald E. Hall (wife, Joanne) of Westmorland, NH; two sisters: Gerri Van Grevenhoff (husband, Van) of Londonderry, NH; and Shirley Eaton (husband, Robert) of Moultonboro, NH; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Martin W. Parenteau and Gary J. Parenteau; and one daughter, Deborah L. Todd.
