Marilyn Louise Floyd Rains, 77, of Pascagoula, MS, passed away peacefully at her home on May 30, 2018. Marilyn was an only child, born to Morris Kendall Floyd and Kathlyn Louise Winter Floyd on March 19, 1941 in Pontotoc, MS. Marilyn graduatedfrom Oxford High School in 1959 later that same year she married the love of her life Sonny Rains.
Marilyn enjoyed playing the piano and she was an avid gardener. She often went to Oxford where she spent a lot of time gardening at her childhood home.
Marilyn is survived by her husband of 59 years Francis Owen Rains, Jr. Her four children, Tod (Diane) Rains of Pascagoula, MS. Lisa Rains of Pickens, SC., Dr. Chris (Wanda) Rains of Ocean Springs, MS and Lee Rains of Biloxi, MS. Three grandchildren, Erin Elizabeth Rains of Nashville, TN, Kendall Rains of Ocean Springs,MS and Anna Elisabeth Rains of Pascagoula, MS. And close family friends Ken Baldwin of Biloxi, MS and Susan Grant of Pickens, SC. And her Aunt Paula Winter Bourgeois of Raceland, LA.
