Marilyn Jean Holman, age 70, longtime resident of Hibbing, died Monday, December 5, 2011 in Heritage Manor in Chisholm. She was born December 27, 1940, in Eveleth, MN, the daughter of Toivo and Ailie (Tainio) Niemi. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1958, and went on to attend Hibbing Jr. College. She was united in marriage to Shaddie Holman on July 8, 1966 in Hibbing.
Marilyn was a loving mother who went “above and beyond” for her children. She worked as an office manager for Continental Sales in Hibbing, owned and operated the Jim Dandy restaurant from 1988 to 1992, and then retired from her work as a financial worker for St.
