Cape Elizabeth – Marie E. Lary, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday February 19, 2017 at The South Portland Nursing Home with her daughter Paula by her side.
Marie was born April 23, 1930, daughter of the late Herbert and Laura (Durant) White.
Marie grew up in West Bath Maine and graduated from Morse High School in 1948.
She is survived by her sisters Evelyn Desmond of Maine and Doris Smith of New York, a brother Leon White of New York, her daughter Paula O’Leary (Jim) of Georgia, sons, Greg Holmes (Wendy) of Florida, Gary Holmes (Gail) of California, Steve Holmes (Laurel) of Tennessee and Mark Holmes of Florida.
In 1992, Marie married Mahlon (Mick) Lary, who passed away December 6, 2016.
Marie is predeceased by her former husband Paul R. Peaslee, brothers Charles White, Joseph C. White and sister Vivian McAskill all of Louisiana and stepson Brian Peaslee of South Carolina
