Marie E. Whittico of Centreville, MD, died Sunday, December 4, 2016, at the Corsica Hills Center in Centreville, MD. She was 100 years old. Born in Hillsboro, MD on June 5, 1916, Mrs. Whittico was the daughter of the late Norman Wayman and Miranda Harris Wayman. Her husband, John Henry Whittico, died March 3, 1999. Mrs. Whittico was a 1933 graduate of the University of MD Eastern Shore. She had worked for the Wye Plantation, the Q.A. Board of Education, and the Thomas and Barbara Gales family. She was a member of the New Life Community United Methodist Church. Mrs. Whittico is survived by one sister, Dulcie Flamer of Queen Anne, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Bishop Powns, Bradford Powns, and Henry Wayman; and a sister, Thelma Wayman.
