WICHITA FALLS, TX – Maria Natalia (da Silva) Reis, wife of the late Antonio Sousa Reis, died in Wichita Falls, TX on Jan. 31, 2011.
She was 65.
Born in Pico, Azores, the daughter of the late Antonio C. and Palmira (Arruda) da Silva, she moved to the Taunton area in 1972, where she was a communicant of St. Anthony Church, and a member of the St. Anthony Holy Rosary Sodality.
Mrs. Reis worked for the former Frank Noone Shoe Co. and Swank Inc. before moving to Wichita Falls, ten years ago.
She leaves two sons, Paul A. Reis and his wife Paula of Fall River and Dennis D. Reis, and his wife Jessica of Taunton; two daughters, Raquel M. Bailey and her husband Christopher of Taunton, and Alexandra M. Reis of Wichita Falls; a brother Antonio da Silva of CA; her twin sister, Maria Hair and her husband Glen of Wichita Falls; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Luciano R. Reis.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, Feb. 11th at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church, at 10 a.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Feb. 10th from 4 to 7 p.m.
