Margaret Helen Boyer, 82, of Richland, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at her home. 

Margaret was born in Montgomery City, Missouri on December 8, 1935, a daughter of the late Samuel Edward & Hazel Marie (Jones) Prior.

She was the loving wife of over 50 years to Clarence Leo Boyer, who survives her at the home.

Margaret is also survived by three sons, Justin Craig & wife Claresa, of Murdock, Nebraska; Harold Strait & wife Barbara, of Gerald, Missouri; and Clarence Boyer, Jr. & wife Sharry, of Naples, Florida, by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, by three sisters, Irene Folta, of Wellsville, Missouri; Dorothy Whitehead, of Mexico, Missouri; and Sharon Janke, of Centralia, Missouri; by two brothers James Prior, of New Florence, Missouri; and George Prior, of Rogers, Arkansas, and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, by a son James Craig and two brothers Charles & William Prior.

Margaret attended church in Richland, Missouri.  She worked for various shoe factories and also for Permaneer Paneling in Union, MO. 

Margaret enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially gardening and taking care of a large black berry patch she had grown.  She also thoroughly enjoyed doing genealogy research on her family and taking trips to do that research.  She would use the money from selling her blackberries to help pay for these trips.  She was also a great artist and enjoyed painting and collecting McCoy cookie jars.
