She was the owner of The Vogue Shop for 34 years and was a member of the Ionia Area Chamber of Commerce, the Ionia Literary Club, the BPW, and the Girl Scouts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melbourne; brother, David Steere; grandson, Mark Shellenbarger; She is survived by her children, David (Barbara) Stebbins of Ionia, Melbourne (Kathryn) Stebbins of Columbia, SC, Suzanne (Dennis) Allen of Ionia, and Julie Ann (Jake) Spray of Adrian, MI; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister-in-law Eva Mae Steere and her children.
