Mrs. Hendee was a member of the Portland VFW Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary and the Okeechobee, Florida Elks Club #2558 Auxiliary. Mae worked as the bookkeeper for her husband in their construction and farming business for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hal “Fred” Hendee; son, Gerald Foote; daughter-in-law Billie Foote. Surviving are her children, Patricia (Dave) McGregor of Portland, Donald Foote of Ononadaga; daughter-in-law Janet Foote of Jackson, MI; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
