Lynda Bush Anderson, passed away peacefully at her at home on September 17, 2021. She was born on February 8, 1946, in Canton, MS. Her parents were the late Pearl Holden and Judy Nolen, both originally from Canton, MS, also. At the time of her death she was 75 years old.
Lynda truly loved her family and friends, but had a special love for her grandchildren. She enjoyed being involved with all their activities. This is where her passion for football evolved. She loved going to games and watching football on television. She was the biggest fan of the Houston Cougars. Lynda also had a special bond with her cabin friends and enjoyed hanging out with them and going out to eat. The family would like to say a special thank you to Uncle Bob Simmons, Kim Jent, Alan Cox, Beth Riser, Scott Sandefur, Becky Stuzman, and Mike Stewart.
Lynda worked over 25 years at Deposit Guaranty National Bank in the IBM Department. Lynda enjoyed working and was good at whatever she chose to do. On July 1, 2021, she retired from HUB International where she had over 16 years of service.
Lynda is survived by her son, Del Fikes of Oxford, MS, and her daughter, Candice Bush Holgorsen (Dana) of Houston, TX. She is survived by her brothers, Bill Holden and Tony Holden. Her sister, Debra Holden-Templeton. Nephews Rory Garcia, Kenny Moss (Ramona), Todd Holden, and Tony Holden. Nieces Susan Moss and Tracy Moss Nichols. Grandchildren Austin Fikes, Alex Fikes, McClayne Holgorsen, Logan Holgorsen, and Karlyn Holgorsen. Also, her life-long friend, Faye Halvorsen.
She was preceded in death by her parents Pearl Holden and Judy Nolen. Her sister, Nancy Moss (Wilson) whom she shared a once in a life time bond.
