Lula May Phillips, 95 of Cambridge, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on October 20, 1921 and was a daughter of the late Darcy H. and Naomi Insley Hurley.
She attended schools in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1939. On August 23, 1941 she was married to Thomas D. Phillips, who passed away on November 24, 2013. She had worked at Home Beautiful in Cambridge with her husband for a number of years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cambridge.
Survivors include two daughters Gail N. Todd (Richard) of Cambridge, and Connie E. Pardoe (Sam) of Cordova, four grandchildren Ricky Todd (Julie), Randy Todd (Kim), Mark Palamaras, Jr. (Kara), and Lisa Maki (Jeff), two great grandchildren Amanda L. Colbourn and Nickco Palamaras, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Phillips is preceded in death by a sister Doris Thomas and a half sister Ann Jackson Blackburn.
