Lula Eva Bell, 95, of Salem, MO, formerly of Dillard, MO passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Seville Care Center in Salem. She was born September 7, 1915 to Christopher Mitchell Tallent and Clara Jane (Stringer) Tallent. On April 16, 1932 in Steelville, she was united in marriage to Floyd Bell who preceded her in death on August 27, 1989.

Lula and her husband lived in the Dillard and Sligo area for many years and after his death, she moved to Salem.

She attended Cherryville Baptist and later became a member of the Second Baptist Church in Salem.

While in Salem, she volunteered for SOLVE and her church. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Ruth Stroburg and husband Emil of Salem, MO, Jane Sams and husband Winiford of Fenton, MO and Fern Grant and close friend Terry of Imperial, MO; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Bell of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Judy Moore and husband Jim, Brenda Franke and husband Gary, Karen Elder and husband Jim and Lois Ann Luebbert; eleven great-grandchildren, Courtney Elder, Jessi Elder, Cody Elder, Andrew, Nathan, Megan and Zachary Luebbert, Josh Moore, Jenille Moore, Sarah Donnley and Adam Franke; one great-great-grandson, Gavin Otto Donnley; five step-grandchildren, Charles Stroburg, David Stroburg and wife Sharon, Donald Stroburg and wife Vickey, Robert Stroburg and wife Cyndi and Kathy Whitaker; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Bell; son, Joe Bell; five brothers, Jimmie Tallent and wife Annie, Elvin Tallent and wife Susie, John Tallent and wife Leora, Jessie Tallent and wife Laura and Christopher Tallent; six sisters, Bessie Harris and husband Feldon, Nellie Brown and husband Edward, Alice Pyatt and husband Luchen, Mary Cassidy and husband Lloyd, Nancy Tallent and Margaret Tallent.
